Bye Bye Uppsala, Bye Bye Sweden!

My stay abroad is nearly over, tomorrow evening leaves my plane. My room was inspected minutes ago, the only remark was that there is some chalk left on the walls of the shower. This inspektor should have seen one of the shared showers in Maastricht. That is chalk!

What can be seen on the pictures is self-explaining

Anyway, the last assignment is submitted, the suitcases are packed and the last party is about to start (as you might know, [irony] I missed not a single party here [/irony] ). This morning I had to say good bye already to some people because they too were about to leave. Really strange because it is highely unlikely that you ever see them again!

Uppsala Cathedral mirroring in the water (no joke)

There will be, for sure, things I am going to miss: the opening hours of the ICA, the friendly people, the perfectly working and affordable public transport systems, the Swedish nature... On the other hand, there are quite some nice things to look forward to: The variety of reasonably-priced food after eating Kebab, Pizza and Hamburgers for half-a-year, the Dutch and German radio stations, the 400,000 channel satellite TV (but at home, I never have the time to actually watch TV), the millions of people living around you (there is just "more going on"), "my" university, my friends and Maastricht in general...

I still have to blog about several issues concerning Sweden (for instance about the train system, the fact that you see babies everywhere and so on). Also the last few radio shows are waiting to be edited in order to select the highlights. I will do that within the next months or so, as a kind of follow-up. So stay tuned!
